Miami Liposuction
Liposuction is designed to permanently remove fat deposits from areas of the body where fat is resistant to diet and exercise. Common areas of treatment include the hips, thighs, waist, abdomen, arms, buttocks, neck, knees, and calves. Liposuction begins with the placement of a very small, inconspicuous incision in the area of treatment. Through the combination of a tubular device and a vacuum-like machine, the fat in that area is emulsified and suctioned out.
Liposuction is usually performed on an outpatient basis under general or local anesthesia, depending of the volume of fat to be removed. Patients can return to work within the week following surgery, but are usually asked to postpone exercising and other strenuous activities for at least 3 weeks after surgery. The results of liposuction are permanent, as long as a routine of healthy dieting and exercise are maintained.
